It's published! I'm hugely pleased to say that my Quirky Botanicals and Friends colouring book is now up for sale at Amazon world-wide. How wonderful is that?
It's been a long journey and a huge learning process, with lenghty pauses as real life became too distracting -- I had to write a business plan, apply for a visa, set up my business here in the UK, phew all done now -- but I took great pleasure in taking my time to ensure that every illustration was just right and that it would give the colourist as much joy a it gave me creating the illustrations.
Here's a peek at the drawings in the book, in no particular order:
Every single page comes in both a black-lined and a grey-lined version, so that colourists have the chance to experiment and play with different media. Personally I love using pencils on the grey, and markers on the black-lined versions, but I'd love to see how each person interprets the drawings and comes up with a completely different result. Here's a screenshot of the book up at Amazon USA:

It's also available at: Amazon UK. Please do take a peek and let me know what you think, although the "look inside the book" feature won't be up and running for another couple of weeks according to Amazon.
I've 're-booted' this Color blog, initially used to post lovely colour schemes for artists, illustrators and lovers of all hues, as it just seemed perfect for the colouring pages that are to come ... yes, another book is in the works as I've been commissioned to work on one that sounds quite delicious (small hint there!). But first I think I should learn how to use the video function on my phone and do a flip-through of this book! Coming soon folks!

I'm quite exhausted but in a lovely, joyful (and sorry to say but slightly smug) way. There's still much to be done as I learn the ropes and market the book. I'll try to record that process here for anyone else who might be considering publishing a colouring book. In fact, I'll record the whole process of illustrating the next one from scratch, so pop back if you're interested.
It's now time to pour myself a nice hot drink (it's freezing outside but wonderfuly cosy indoors), take a deep satisfying breath, and just relax for a bit. I'll leave you with a photo taken on our daily walk earlier, always inspiring no matter what the weather ...
Cheers. Have fun bringing colour to life!
